The dataset presents a corpus and coding scheme for the analysis of affective political discourse on Ukrainian refugee support in Poland between 2022 and 2025.
The stored material consists of three types of tables. Type A tables present the research corpus and its composition. Type B tables provide the affective and discourse coding scheme. Type C tables include illustrative findings. The dataset was prepared as supplementary research material for an article on social-affective citizenship and transformations of welfare belonging in the context of Ukrainian refugee inclusion in Poland.
The dataset includes 46 political statements and 126 meaning units drawn from presidential addresses, parliamentary speeches, press communications, direct addresses, media interviews, public meetings, and public statements. The material covers statements by representatives of PiS and government actors, the President of Poland, PO/KO, Polska 2050, Konfederacja, Razem, and Nowa Lewica.
The meaning units were coded using an affective and discourse coding scheme covering inclusive, stabilising, conditionality, exclusionary, and governance-oriented categories. The dataset also provides code distributions, actor-level patterns, dominant affective regimes, and illustrative coded examples that can be cross-referenced through Meaning Units (MU) numbers and source IDs.
