Description

This database organizes scholarly literature concerning Valerie Solanas and her infamous “SCUM Manifesto” (1967), collected in the research process for the related article. It covers 30 journal articles, monograph chapters and online articles, published between 1999 and 2025, and includes: full bibliographical information, scope of analysis (single or comparative case study), analyzed version of the “SCUM Manifesto” (publisher and date), type of reception (positive, negotiated, negative), main interpretative claims (in the form of quotation) and additional notes (where relevant). This database enables future researchers to access an organized bibliography on the topic, draw conclusions about the trends in academic reception of Solanas, including main interpretative threads, as well as access quantitative information such as which versions of Solanas’ work are the most frequently cited.

Ta anglojęzyczna baza danych gromadzi prace naukowe dotyczące Valerie Solanas i jej kontrowersyjnego „SCUM Manifesto” (1967) zebrane w trakcie badań literatury przedmiotu na potrzeby powiązanego artykułu. Baza obejmuje 30 artykułów naukowych, rozdziałów książek oraz tekstów internetowych opublikowanych w latach 1999–2025, w czym zawiera: pełne informacje bibliograficzne, zakres analizy (pojedyncze lub porównawcze studium przypadku), analizowaną wersję „SCUM Manifesto” (wydawca oraz data publikacji), rodzaj recepcji (pozytywna, negocjowana, negatywna), główne tezy interpretacyjne (w formie cytatu) oraz dodatkowe przypisy (w stosownych przypadkach). Baza ta umożliwia przyszłym zainteresowanym dostęp do uporządkowanej bibliografii na temat Solanas oraz jej manifestu, wyciąganie wniosków na temat trendów w akademickiej recepcji Solanas, w tym głównych wątków interpretacyjnych, a także dostęp do informacji ilościowych, takich jak które z licznych wersji prac Solanas są najczęściej cytowane.
