Colchian amphoras from Apsaros - a database of diagnostic fragments (rims, bases and handles-RBH) of East-Pontic amphoras discovered i the Roman fortress of Apsaros (today Gonio) in ancient Colchis, modern Georgia.
Data from field seasons 2014-2021.
Excavations in Apsaros are conducted by the Gonio-Apsaros Polish-Georgian Expedition, with the Polish part being directed by Prof. R. Karasiewicz-Szczypiorski from the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology, University of Warsaw. These excavations received support from the National Science Centre in Poland (UMO–2017/26/M/HS3/00758).
Since 2022 the pottery is analysed within the frame of the project "REM: Roman Military Economy", from the National Science Centre in Poland 2021/41/B/HS3/01155
