Description

Experimental results (numerical data) related to publication 'Molecular structure and the ferroelectric nematic phase: the effect of terminal chain and fluorination pattern'.


The stored dataset includes:


1) publication in Liquid Crystals (manuscript and Supporting Information, pdf format ) - see also https://doi.org/10.1080/02678292.2025.2507807


2) numerical data for dielectric permittivity measured vs. temperature and frequency. ASCI files contain four columns with: temperature (in °C), frequency (in Hz), real and imaginary parts of permittivity, respectively.  


3) numerical data for optical birefringence measured vs. temperature. ASCI files contain three columns with: temperature (in °C), optical retardation (in rad.) and optical birefringence.


4) numerical data for small angle X-ray diffraction measurements – determination of smectic layer thickness. ASCI file contains 6 columns with: temperature (in °C), layer thickness (in A), peak position (in deg.), peak area, FWHM of the peak and value of Lorentzian component in pseudo-Voight fitting of the peak shape.
