(III) data processing leading to the statistical analysis of ICP-MS and LA-ICP-MS data.
"ID_LA_ICP_MS" zip file contains:
(I) raw data from measurements of gelatin standards and reference materials by ID-LA-ICP-MS,
(II) exemplary basic data processing for the standards,
(III) soft tissue measurements by ID-LA-ICP-MS.
Data were collected by analyzing solid standards, reference materials, and samples using an Nd:YAG laser ablation system (LSX 213, Cetac, Omaha, NE, USA) coupled to a quadrupole inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (NexION 300D, PerkinElmer, Waltham, MA, USA). The data were exported from the Syngistix software and subsequently processed. Transient signals were recorded for the selected isotopes (listed in the first row of each table) during each measurement cycle. Instrumental blank signals were recorded for each isotope individually during approximately 30 s before the start of laser ablation while only the carrier gas (Ar) was flowing. These measurements were used to calculate the mean instrumental blank, which was then subtracted from the signals recorded during sample ablation. Spikes, defined as individual intensity values higher than the mean of the two neighboring values, were removed and replaced with the mean of the neighboring values. The ^12C isotope was used as the internal standard (IS).
The dataset contains CSV files with raw and pre-processed data, as well as JPG and BMP files containing photographic documentation acquired during the measurements.
