This dataset contains the experimental data underlying a study on adaptive laboratory evolution (ALE) of the psychrotolerant and halotolerant Bacillus velezensis S_51 strain under increasing salinity. The data document changes in bacterial growth, salinity tolerance, culture optimisation, metabolic activity, osmoprotectant production, and selected physiological traits during adaptive evolution.
The dataset includes optical density measurements collected throughout the ALE experiment, response surface methodology (RSM) data for culture optimisation before and after ALE, Biolog GEN III metabolic profiling, LC–MS peak area data for betaine quantification, total carbon and nitrogen measurements of metabolite fractions, and physiological assay data including biofilm formation, indole-3-acetic acid production, siderophore production, and intracellular proline accumulation.
The data are provided in TXT, CSV, XLSX, and DOCX formats and include raw and processed measurements, experimental layouts, replicate structure, sample coding, and calculated response variables.
