Wydział „Artes Liberales”

Wydział „Artes Liberales” jest centrum humanistycznych badań interdyscyplinarnych oraz inicjatorem i koordynatorem międzywydziałowych, międzyuczelnianych i międzynarodowych programów studiów, powiązanych z badaniami interdyscyplinarnymi na wszystkich stopniach kształcenia. Rdzeń wielodyscyplinarnego środowiska Wydziału tworzy grupa uczonych reprezentujących następujące specjalności: literaturoznawstwo, kulturoznawstwo, historia, filozofia, socjologia, psychologia, politologia, historia sztuki, prawo, etnologia, archeologia i teatrologia. Wydział współdziała z pozostałymi jednostkami uniwersyteckimi zajmującymi się szeroko rozumianą humanistyką, a także współpracuje z ośrodkami krajowymi i zagranicznymi.

The Faculty of “Artes Liberales” carries out innovative, interdisciplinary research projects in the humanities; it also coordinates interfaculty, inter-university and international study programmes for the 1st and 2nd cycle studies which are research-based and promote interdisciplinary learning. The multidisciplinary environment of the Faculty is created through interactions between researchers from separate disciplines: literary studies, cultural and religious studies, archaeology, philosophy, history, linguistics, art history, legal studies, sociology, political and administration science, international relations, ethnology and theatre studies. The Faculty promotes interdisciplinary team collaboration in the humanities with scholars from other Faculties of the University of Warsaw and researchers who represent important academic centres in Poland and worldwide.
